A lot of time and attention goes into politics when we are inundated with campaign ads and yard signs. What happens after Election Day often gets lost as we return to life as usual. Unfortunately, Election Day is more truthfully perhaps the least important day in the life of politics. It's what happens once people are in office that affects us as a society. Commit yourself to staying involved beyond the ballot box!
- Pray for our elected officials.
- Study and stay updated on the issues.
- Get involved as a volunteer specific to an issue you are passionate about.
- Sign up for USCCB Political Action Alerts to stay informed.
- Host coffee discussion groups to get others thinking.
- Learn how to work with your legislators on the issues.
- Don’t like what you see? Consider running for office!
- Lead a prayer vigil or service for an issue that is close to your heart.
- Register others to vote.
- Let your actions serve as an example to others of a life lived everyday in faith!
